About us
Since 2000, CMS has built a trusted reputation for delivering specialist M&E and building maintenance services across the UK. With circa 200 engineers operating 24/7, 365 days a year, we provide fully integrated solutions that support businesses nationwide.
Alongside our core services, we are committed to driving positive impact through our ESG strategy. Our mission is focused on three key areas:
Sustainability for a better future
Supporting low-carbon solutions and reducing environmental impact across our operations and those of our clients.
A great place to work
Creating a safe, inclusive environment where our people can develop and succeed.
Transparent and responsible operations
Maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and governance.
We are proud of the role we play in helping UK businesses thrive, delivering effective, innovative, and sustainable solutions every day.
At CMS, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and supporting a low-carbon future. We embed sustainability across our operations, ensuring we grow responsibly while helping our clients do the same.
Driving sustainability
We promote environmental awareness through training, internal communications, and employee engagement, while supporting initiatives such as UK reforestation projects.
Reducing our carbon footprint
Through partnerships like Emitwise and Neutral Carbon Zone, we measure and manage emissions across scopes 1, 2 and 3, enabling us to track progress and reduce our impact year-on-year.
Delivering efficient solutions
We support clients with energy-efficient systems and renewable technologies. Projects such as our work at the Royal Society of Edinburgh have delivered energy savings of over 25%.
Sustainable operations
Our new energy-efficient facility and ongoing investment in fleet efficiency help reduce emissions, while our waste management practices support our commitment to zero waste to landfill.
At CMS, our people and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive workplace while making a positive impact beyond our business.
A great place to work
We invest in training, development, and wellbeing to help our people build rewarding careers. From leadership programmes to our new CMS Academy, we provide opportunities for growth at every level.
Developing future talent
Our purpose-built training academy supports over 200 engineers and 50+ apprentices each year, helping address the UK skills gap and ensuring the next generation of skilled professionals.
Diversity, inclusion and wellbeing
We are committed to building a diverse workforce, improving inclusion, and supporting mental health through open dialogue, initiatives, and a culture that values every individual.
Supporting our communities
We actively support local communities through partnerships, charity initiatives, and critical services for vulnerable clients, ensuring we make a meaningful difference where we operate.
