CMS Academy is a flagship training and development facility at CMS’ Gateshead headquarters, launched to mark the company’s 25th anniversary. With a £2 million investment and 20,000 sq. ft. of purpose-built space, the Academy is designed to develop the next generation of skilled engineers, combining practical technical training with professional values.
Academy Launch
Each year, the Academy trains over 200 engineers and supports 50+ apprentices, providing structured career pathways and professional development opportunities. Engineers gain hands-on experience with industry-leading technology from manufacturers such as Baxi, Belimo, Grundfos, and Schwank, ensuring they are fully prepared to work on modern commercial building projects.
Apprentice Spotlight
Graduates of the CMS Academy receive a “kitemark of capability,” recognised for excellence in quality, safety, efficiency, and customer service. The Academy addresses the UK’s engineering skills shortage by equipping engineers with the technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and professional standards demanded by the sector.
