Electrical Estimator

Location: North East

Commercial Maintenance Services UK Ltd was established in 2000 and is a privately-owned commercial building maintenance, services and supply company serving the whole of the UK. CMS provides value for money mechanical and electrical engineering services maintaining central heating, electrical, air conditioning, catering and refrigeration systems and our team of over 100 qualified, uniformed and vetted (DBS) engineers are based at our engineering hubs around the country.

 

GENERAL

Our Electrical Team is based in The Northeast and offer a broad range of Electrical services to National commercial customers.

We are a well-established company and have over twenty-Five years’ experience in the electrical industry. Who are currently looking for an Electrical Estimator who is dedicated and experienced to join our dynamic team as an Estimator, Who will play a crucial role in the successful execution of projects works and ensuring a quick turnaround of Quotations following on from our reactive Electrical call outs.

This role primarily involves office-based work and possibly an occasional site visit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Dealing with clients in a professional manner
  • Preparing electrical estimates from the back of engineer’s job reports.
  • Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from electrical wholesalers
  • Continuous communication with our Electricians to ensure smooth running of works.
  • Competent when dealing with enquiries and requests
  • Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for commercial and industrial Works.
  • Collaborate with our project team to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
  • Carrying out accurate take off's from drawings and specifications
  • Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for future reference
  • Have a good understanding of products

 

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Electrical qualifications advantageous
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  IT literate
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good communication skills

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

It is an express condition of employment that you are prepared to transfer to alternative duties within our Organisation. To include - covering terms of leave as necessary, to take over and cover some duties normally performed by colleagues or outside of normal working hours. This flexibility is essential for operational efficiency as the type and volume of work is always subject to variables.
