KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical support and guidance on the telephone to engineers out in the field.

  • Interact between administration team, management team and national engineering team to disseminate information into the field.

  • Monitor engineers and promote best practice in health and safety, engineering and customer care.

  • Be part in a 1 in phone on call rota.

  • P&L responsibility for team and budget.

  • Liaise with other Technical Managers in Regional teams, and Projects, where necessary to schedule and
    complete multi discipline tasks.

  • Assist with accurately quoting for remedial and install work.

  • Monitor engineers and promote best practice in health and safety, engineering and customer care.

  • Be part in a 1 in 8 phone on call rota.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrable experience within the F-Gas field as an engineer or manager.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • A friendly and professional telephone manner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer Literate.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

Essential:
• Time served, F-Gas Category 1 Qualification
• Demonstrable experience with Air Conditioning, Chiller Units and Ventilation systems, install, maintenance and repairs.
• Excellent estimating, scheduling and man management skills
• Full UK driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Able to pass a DBS check for relevant convictions


Desirable:
• To be technically qualified at HND/HNC or above.
• BS:7671 18th edition
• Experience in Electrical systems
• Experience in Commercial heating systems
• Experience in Controls
• Experience with computer Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) building management systems/CAFM/CMMS
• Experience of working in a fast paced environment
• Experience of scheduling a team of engineers and daily diaries

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

It is an express condition of employment that you are prepared to transfer to alternative duties within our Organisation. To include - covering terms of leave as necessary, to take over and cover some duties normally performed by colleagues or outside of normal working hours. This flexibility is essential for operational efficiency as the type and volume of work is always subject to variables.
