Mechanical & Electrical Services Estimator
CMS UK Ltd is an established commercial building maintenance and supply company serving the North of England.
This is a privately owned business which has grown from strength to strength, and due to an increase in workload, we are now looking to augment our existing team with the addition of a Mechanical & Electrical Services Estimator.
The candidate must be from a building services background and have experience of electrical installations, plumbing & heating & installations and HVAC systems.
You must also hold a relevant qualification in either mechanical engineering or building services.
Your duties will include:
- Quantifying materials, plant and labour requirements for projects
- Attending and contributing at tender stage and design meetings
- Preparing estimates and undertaking costing variations
- Attending site surveys
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors negotiating lowest prices
Experience and competencies required:
- Thorough knowledge of a wide range of mechanical or electrical building services installations and systems
- Comprehensive experience in a building services estimator capacity
- The ability to read, interpret and understand specifications and drawings
- The ability to think ahead, plan and prioritise workloads whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- Good educational background preferably qualified to HNC level an appropriate discipline.
- Computer literacy – MS Office
- Product knowledge within the Mechanical or Electrical sector
- Excellent communication skills
- Car driver / owner

Commercial Gas Service Engineer
CMS UK Ltd is an established commercial building maintenance and supply company serving the North of England.
This is a privately owned business which has grown from strength to strength, and due to an increase in workload, we are now looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Service Engineer to provide service to our clients in the North East region.
We offer solutions for commercial gas, plumbing, central heating, electrical and mechanical, air conditioning, commercial refrigeration and more.
Successful candidates will have the full support of our logistics team - they will be provided with a fully liveried vehicle, uniform and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have gained a fully qualified time served apprenticeship as a minimum.
Candidates must have experience of field service and ideally have knowledge working on commercial equipment.
We are looking for a well presented engineer with strong people, verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent understanding of Health and Safety at Work
Qualifications/Skills required:
- Current gas qualifications eg. CCN1/CEN1/CoDNCO1/ CDGA1/CIGA1/ICPN1/TPCP1 .
- ACRIB F Gas and City & Guilds 2079 (2078) would be an advantage.
- Apprenticeship trained
- IPAF/PASMA Certificate desirable
- CSCS or CITB Health and Safety awareness/training.
The candidate must also hold a clean driving licence.

We offer solutions for commercial gas, plumbing, central heating, electrical and mechanical, air conditioning, commercial refrigeration and more.
Successful candidates will have the full support of our logistics team - they will be provided with a fully liveried vehicle, uniform and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have gained a fully qualified time served apprenticeship as a minimum.
The successful candidates must have experience of field service and ideally have knowledge working on boiler controls, plant room systems and small pumps .
We are looking for a well presented engineer with strong people, verbal and written communication skills.

- 17th Edition IEE Certificate
- Apprenticeship trained

- IPAF/PASMA Certificate desirable
- CSCS or CITB Health and Safety awareness/training.
The candidate must also hold a clean driving licence.
